2012/2013 Renew/Cancel Tracker

I figured I would put this in an easier spot for people to find so hopefully this will be easier for you to access and see updates.  Also keep in mind, these are network shows only.  There are too many cable shows to also track so this will just be for the network shows.   But as other cable shows get renewed or canceled, I will post that on the main blog page.

For some shows, the writing is on the wall and you can tell when the party’s over. Other shows are plugging right along so there really is no room for question or doubt about their broadcast future.   Then there are those shows in the middle lovingly referred to as “Bubble Shows.”  Bubble shows are shows that could go either way and are probably the hardest to predict.  Their fate lies in the hands of many different things and it’s different each time…ratings, sometimes (although very rarely) fan campaigns to save them, advertisers, the fate of other shows on their networks, a network’s unique renewal history (CBS typically cancels their lowest rated comedy even if it is doing decently), or a #1 show’s star completely going crazy and possibly canceling said show making room for a bubble show.  As of today, May 14th 2013, here is a quick breakout of where we stand with the definite renewals and cancellations:

There may be shows I have forgotten about and if I did, let me know and I will add them to the list.  But to date, these are definites.  Every thing else right now is TBD.  But there are certain shows which are leading towards cancellation and certain shows leaning towards renewals.  The following are examples of “relatively easy to predict fates”:

Any show that you don’t see on here they are the bubble shows.  Some may be closer to cancellation and some may be closer to renewal.  But they certainly haven’t been canceled or renewed yet and they are too close to call to guess what will happen.
