I have to admit, I was slightly surprised at Matt LeBlanc and Laura Dern’s GGs.  Not in a bad way either.  That was some tough competition and I was really happy for both of them.  Although I can’t fathom how Poehler or Fey don’t win every year, but that’s another story.  Poehler is genius as Leslie Knope.  I better stop now before I go off!

I didn’t watch the whole show last night, I must admit, because I wanted to watch Once Upon A Time and The Good Wife.  But I did watch Madonna’s acceptance speech.   Was she trying to be funny or is she just drifting out further and further into La La Land?  That woman, while so talented, is just so out there.  Yikes.   Talk about someone who is really has no sense of self-awareness in these types of settings. Oh well.

How was the host by the way?  I know he was awesome last year and the brief parts I saw, he was as brilliant as ever.  But I missed the opening monologue.  Guess I need to You Tube it, if it’s worth it, so let me know!

So congrats to all the winners!  Damien Lewis, maybe next year my friend!   What did you think of the Golden Globes?

Madonna was indeed in La La Land during that speech. Can’t wait for that Super Bowl performance. As for Ricky’s opening, he was fairly tame…Kim K’s length of marriage, Eddie Murphy rejecting the Oscars but saying yes to Norbit, NBC being a non-profit, fourth-rated network, Justin Bieber’s paternity test, etc. Not nearly as controversial as one hoped for or expected.
