Let’s talk about this list and I always like to start with the positives!  Four out of five Drama series make sense.   Those are fantastic shows!  The comedy category is harder for me to analyze.  I think Episodes and New Girl make sense.  I don’t watch Enlightened and I don’t watch Modern Family any more.  So I can’t speak to them.  As for most of the acting categories, I am pretty satisfied with the nominees…most especially happy for Madeline Stowe, Kelsey Grammar, Damien Lewis, Clarie Danes, Zooey Deschanel, and Peter Dinklage.

As for the “are you kidding me” portion…Glee and American Horror Story?  Really?  What is it about Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck that people keep nominating their poor work for awards?  I REALLY don’t get it.   Glee is an atrocious show at this point.  What started out as a smart, fun, different show, has turned into a poorly written, poorly directed, no character development abomination of a show.  How does that get nominated in the Comedy category?  Where’s Parks and Rec?   30 Rock?  Unbelievable.  And American Horror Story?  Not The Good Wife?  Parenthood.  It’s starting to get harder and harder to take these award shows seriously when shows like that get nominated.  But it is what it is.

What do you think?
